A critic reviewed the chair in 1951 and named it the Teddy Bear chair due to it's design. Since then the chair has always been referred to as the Teddy Bear. The armrests resemble big bear paws ready to embrace you and make you feel loved. The Teddy Bear chair is one of Danish Wegner’s most celebrated designs, and is exceptionally comfortable whilst preserving all the streamlined qualities of a mid century design.
