A critic reviewed the chair in 1951 and named it the Teddy Bear chair due to it's design and thereafter the chair was always referred to as the Teddy Bear. The armrests look like big bear paws ready to embrace you and make you feel loved. The Teddy Bear chair is one of Danish Wegner’s most celebrated designs and is exceptionally comfortable whilst retaining all the streamlined qualities of mid century design.
