This unique little cone made its debut in 1959, after Verner Panton designed it the for his parents’ restaurant on the Danish island of Fünen. The chair was such a hit, a businessman offered to mass-produce it for Panton. The chair even caused minor controversy after police ordered the chair to be removed from a New York window display after large crowds gathered to see it.
