This is a true Mid-Century classic.

The story behind the George Nelson Steering Wheel Clock

First released in the early 1960s, during one of Nelson's most prolific design periods, the Steering Wheel Clock typified one of the legendary American designer's trademarks; using minimal materials to create something truly unique. Consisting solely of a round metal frame and a small clock face, Nelson had the inspiration for the design while stuck in traffic on his way to his workshop, and began developing the idea as soon as he got into work that day. Within a week, the design was complete, and remains a public favourite to this very day.
